Since my Father, Stan Griffin Sr, owned Walker Key for 12 years and I visited it many times when I was younger, I am interested in what happens there. Has the sale gone thru and is there any building going on now? Will there be a casino on the island? I will be looking forward to coming over when it is finished for a visit. Thanks in advance for the info.

Let me see if I can make this simple for everyone. Ginn has a major problem brewing in his camp. The slimy goo oozing from the lawyers who have been paid big bucks to protect his ass are about to go down. The crimes the lawyers have committed is so egregious that when the truth is known it will be an embarrassment for the politicians and liars oops lawyers in the Bahamas. Christie, Wilchcombe and the entire former PLP clan will wish they were never born.

I fully support Pastor Smith. Pastor Smith married my husband and me. Pastor Smith takes his job as a pastor and as a justice of the peace seriously. I seriously doubt he would compromise his faith, values or position in such a way.

Johnny Canoe MUST remain in close proximity to its original location!! We have a Time Share at Westwind II and it is within walking distance from our timeshare. No need for taxis, buses, etc. When all our children come down Johnny Canoe is our FIRST destination. A landmark, island culture, fun, and part of our love for Nassau Bahamas is Johnny Canoe. Please do not toss aside tradition and replace it with progress. Progress is good, but leave our dear friend Johnny Canoe close enough to visit as an old friend.

I can’t believe that they couldn’t come up with an alternate location for this wonderful eatery. I can’t even count the number of visits to Nassau that I have made over many years and Johnny Canoe always was a destination of mine. My husband and I have a timeshare at the Wyndham and made a point of eating breakfast and many evening dinners there. It’s like losing a very close friend. I am truly saddened.

Trying to find husband’s biological father. Please help. Father is of british descent and his father owned import-export business in the Bahamas. Birth father was working in the States as an apprentice to an architech. Birthfather did return to the Islands and became a well known artist. My husband is well extablished just looking for family background. My husband is now 43 yrs old and had a wonderful family. If you know of any artist of this description please help.

Usually visitng Cable Beach Wyndham once or twice a year, our absolute favorite place to go is Johnny Canoe’s. My family recently took a cruise, ended up in the Bahamas and made a dash to JC’s for lunch. What a total disappointment to find it closed! (No one wanted to eat at the Wyndham/Sheraton.) The place was a staple for an area that is void of any “island friendly” good, reasonably priced restaurants.
Believe it or not, my annual “friends” vacation is now on hold — hope this BahaMar group begs them to return to the area.
